We are good citizens

Each year we undertake a selection of charity work to raise much needed funds for worthy charities both locally, nationally and internationally. This year we did the following:
  • Friendship Buddies arranged a colouring competition in September to raise funds to help get the playground marked with games. The raised almost €200. Great work done by all.
  • Heinz Beans Tokens - Mr. O Donoghue is collecting any labels from the Heinz Beans to help save to purchase some new PE equipment for the school. Please send in any tokens that you have to him.
  • Shoebox Appeal - Ms. Higgins organised the Annual Christmas Shoebox appeal. As always this was a resounding success and a huge number of boxes were brought into the school. Thanks to everyone for their generosity.
  • MS Readathon - The children in the senior classes, organised by Ms. Mulholland and Ms. Galligan, are undertaking the MS Readathon and have raised large sums of money. Well done to all involved!
  • School Book Fair - The School Book Fair was held during World Book Day Week. The fair was a resounding success this year and yielded in excess of €1,000 in commission which will be used to purchase books for our classrooms and literacy stations. Thank you for your continued support.
