Math Week 2021

“Maths Week Ireland is an all-island initiative and a partnership of institutions and groups promoting positive attitudes towards maths and highlighting the importance of maths in our lives since 2006.” This year the activities have been running from the 16th of October to 24th October. Here at St. Fursey’s N.S we aim to promote a positive attitude among children towards Math. All classes in the school participated in a myriad of mathematical activities that promoted a hands-on constructivist approach to learning Math. The children were encouraged to develop their mathematical skills through investigation and problem solving tasks. Here are some examples of activities the children engaged in during this time.
